Christmas in Black and White. Part II

January 5, 2010

We met up with my family on Christmas Day. James soon discovered that Jude, his two year old cousin, has a similar obsession with vehicles that are required by law to beep when they back up.

Here is my son requiring massive intervention during our gift exchange. I would guess that a nose dive off the heights of over-stimulation is responsible for this little scene.

My brother and his wife went out for dinner while a large team of grandparents/aunts/uncles took responsibility for the children. At one point J.D. somehow got stuck with all three and his idyllic visions of multiple offspring crumbled.

This is 4 month old Olivia. She had everyone – men included- talking nonsense in pitches that would make most grandmas throw up. Oh, okay. One more picture of the baaaaay-beeee!

And this is James around three o’clock every afternoon. NO ONE ASKED YOU TO START YOUR DAYS AT 5 AM.

I would like to finish with Mary: pondering things in her heart.

Hi Claire. Oh, how many times I pondered Mary pondering when my kids were young. She was someone to live up to. Hope you and your family have a happy healthy year.
