The internet arrived today after two weeks of flipping through Sears catalogues instead of Facebook. I thought I might become a more productive human being in the absence of internet but instead, it just became more obvious how unproductive I am. It’s very easy to look Very Busy and Efficacious in front of a computer. Much harder sitting on a couch re-reading last week’s flyers.

In the recent news: J.D. started school today and both of us wanted to complain but we are outnumbered when it comes to people who went to work today after two DAYS off as opposed to two months.

Home renos have been reduced to making curtain brackets and cutting off the bottoms of our interior doors to accommodate flooring which will be installed hopefully before we have a third child. Here is a very satisfying photo of our friend Amanda taking a swing at the interior wall we removed. She was half crying half laughing when she did it. By the way, you haven’t seen Amanda’s ex, have you?

And here are a couple of preliminary photos of the unfinished but livable space we have created. I really love the egg plant purple bathroom but some days the shade is a little too close to the bags under my eyes.

We do still make at least one or two trips per week to Home Hardware and on our last visit, J.D. bought a jigsaw that was on sale and BONUS! Came with a Home Hardware remote control car. The morning after we got it, J.D. duct tapped a plastic bowl to the roof and he and James successfully delivered a warm morning beverage to the bedroom (which may or may not have been coffee, depending on if you like to judge pregnant coffee drinkers)

Here is the 25 week pregnancy shot of me looking off into the distance wistfully. I am actually looking at the house across the street and admiring how they got the tin foiled windows and truck parked diagonally on the front lawn to look so effortless. Maybe they’ll have some tips on landscaping with perennials.

I have more but I must pace myself. I’m going to go read the Yellow Pages now.

Cute . . . looks like James is saying his prayers . . . and a novel use of a remote control car I must say – maybe JD can rig it to hold a whole tray of food and voila . . . breakfast in bed (I’m sure he won’t be happy I suggested that).

From the pictures you’ve posted, looks like things are shaping up nicely. We’ll have to do a “Skype tour” when you’re ready to show it off!

Thanks for the update… Hi to Amanda if she is still there. You are a gorgeous pregnant lady. And no judgment on the coffee… I couldn’t live without it. T

    MAN! I need a remote-controlled hot beverage-deliverer!

As for drinking coffee, here’s how I see it: You’re the pregnant mother of a busy pre-schooler, living in a house in a constant state of fixing and upheaval. You’d be nuts NOT to drink a cup of coffee!

I love the colors that you have going on in there! Looks super!

And the preggo picture is so nice too! Looking good!

    Coffee…a staple!

We will have to get together when Colleen is the mother of TWO and have a “for old time’s sake” visit!!!
