Tomorrow’s To Do: Birth Child.

November 23, 2010

Knowing the exact date and approximate time that notable amounts of pain will begin has its advantages and disadvantages. I’m pretty good at denial/avoidance until it’s too late and all that’s left to do is deal with the consequences so I’m probably a great candidate for induction.

But still, I know what it’s like when your hips are about to explode off your body and no one will believe you when you tell them, “no, they actually are – there’s a first time for everything.” These are sensations you don’t want to have an exact date for.

Being able to properly prep James for the event is a definite perk. He enjoys explaining to me the birthing process which involves a gentle squeeze and a fun little pop and there you go: Baby!

Today we were doing the alphabet and he told me that J is for “jealous.” I must be emitting some kind of pheromone which has notified his subconscious that the poo poo is about to hit the fan.

Thank you to everyone who will be praying/thinking about me tomorrow. That’s probably the best part about being able to mark this babe’s birthday on a calendar in advance.

So there you go. My final post as an itchy pregnant lady. See y’all on the other side.
