Guest Post: New Baby

November 24, 2010

Claire just passed a human being from her body a few hours ago so I – J.D., her adoring husband – am doing the honors of updating y’all.

Welcome to the world Jasper Theodore!

Yes, I have a terrible terrible moustache. It’s for cancer research (strange, I know) so don’t make fun of me. Or better yet, go to my movember page and donate some money to fight prostate cancer.

That’s 9 and two-thirds of a pound (9lb 11oz) for you imperialists out there.

He’s a bit purple because he came out so fast. The face matches the weight – great for the northern winter.

Welcome little one – we are so happy to have you.

Great pics! Thanks for posting those JD. Can’t wait to meet our new little (big) grandson. Hugs to Claire for a job well done, and hugs to our other big boy as well. Just a few weeks ’til we meet him in person . . . very exciting.

Congrats to all of you! His name is so cute and totally fitting….he is the biggest baby born to date on the caudle side so the name of Jasper “king” is totally fitting. I’ll tell Steven he has been dethroned…he was only 9 pounds haha! He’s adorable!

Wow! My Texan sister’s second born is Jasper as well so the y’all used by J.D. is quite fitting. Glad to hear the pain is over and the result is so absolutely wonderful. Thanks for the quick update. The moustache accompanied by the breastfeeding picture behind J.D.’s head make for quite the memories.

Oh, I am crying reading this post. So so happy for you three. James is so blest to have a little brother. The greatest gift we give our kids is their siblings. I am so happy everything went well. I can’t wait to hear the whole birth story and how the induction went. Praise God! Yay!

    Oh, frabjous day!

As they say in Northern Lapland “A bird in the hand makes it awfully hard to blow your nose”. I’m pretty sure that’s a congratulatory phrase. I tried it once and was blowing sparrow feathers out of my sinuses for weeks.

And for JT – “Ufda” – what a shock to pop out like that. What does James think of it all?
