Twenty Seven: Check

September 20, 2011

J.D. predicted the significance of this year and now I owe him five bucks.

Twenty seven brought me a Jasper:

And a subsequent adVANture:

It was a good year for physical, mental, and emotional duress. I now know I am capable of a) birthing an almost ten pound ham and b) surviving and often thriving with that ham, his father and brother in a space the size of our kitchen table.

This year, I’m going to try and limit the uncomfortable/challenging things I do to meditation or making my own pastry dough.

Happy 28th to me!

Happy 27. A very significant number. Seven plus two makes nine. Seven minus two is five. Seven times two is fourteen. Seven divided by two is… let me see … carry the four … take away .5 (scribble, scribble, erase) aha… I have it … 3.5. Add all these numbers and you get 31.5 and that is as fast as you can go on Piccadilly Road in rush hour. It’s true! Ask J.D. Do the math!

Some more advice. Slaver plenty of mustard on that ham. It’s good for the complexion and will keep him regular. GASMAN AWAAAAY!

I love you Claire. You are too far away.

I would love to be turning twenty seven for the second year in a row. Sorry. My actual age in this post was exceedingly unclear.

Happy birthday! Did your husband congratulate you this year on turning a perfect number (likely for the last time, unless you are super lucky)?

Happy birthday, Claire! If you had been around to see the television ads in the 50’s and 60’s you would know that the ability to make good pastry is the key to a woman enjoying a fulfilled and enriched life and being the envy of all her friends. That and her husband never having ‘ring around the collar’.

We’re much smarter now. Now the key to a fulfilling and enriched life has the word Terabytes attached to it.

Have a wonderful day and we’ll talk at you tonight.

Just in case anyone cares, Claire is now 28. This past year was her 27th year. It’s the same conundrum as everyone arguing about when the year 2000 bug was supposed to hit the world.

Happy Birthday Claire! It’s true your 27th year was a busy and adventuresome one; pretty hard to top (but I’m sure you’ll find a way . . !)
