Sunday Dinner: Drunken Turkey Sauce

October 17, 2011

“There is a giant tub of left over turkey meat in the back of  our fridge.”

I inspire J.D.’s culinary juices like no other.

After three hours, a bag of mushrooms, one onion, a can of stewed tomatoes, an array of herbs and spices, a shot of vermouth, a sprinkling of the turkey that just won’t go away, and a whole lot of what-the-heck, J.D. produced the original and delicious and probably unreproduceble  Drunken Turkey Sauce.

The garlic toast was made with a roasted garlic butter he fashioned himself and the salad featured pine nuts, but just six, because he bought them on his Visa and we have a credit limit of only a couple thousand dollars.

We had Jasper’s face for dessert.

JD should publish a cook book…or come and live at my house so I can enjoy all these Sunday dinners.
