Beep Beep Beep Dump

June 30, 2012

If the title of this post qualifies as a sentence then Jasper is speaking fluently these days. Here is a truck load of photos from the past week:

A scribble siege.

Jasper prefers a larger canvas.

Don’t take all the credit for my awesome ideeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaa!

Here, son. If I impale you on this branch, it will be safe for me to leave you unattended in the tree in order to take a picture.

Better yet, if I take a close up, no one will have to know that you’re dangling on a limb with no support.

Sleeping arrangement number 4,893: Tent in the basement.

If only there was a cash prize for the world’s worst passport photo.

A couple of J.D.’s students bought him a rocket at the end of the school year. Mugs and chocolate are just not going to cut it anymore. Preparing for launch.

The first launch landed in a nearby tree which J.D. climbed with surprising confidence. He’d never climbed a tree before because why would you risk death unless there was a very good reason for it? I didn’t get a picture of the momentous climb though. Just one of him hucking a stick at the rocket to make sure he really did have to climb the tree.

We went to Carcross beach last weekend with Colleen, Jeff, Oscar and Lucy (about a 45 min drive from Whitehorse)

We had our first two sets of couch surfers last night. This pair are hitch hiking to Alaska, just looking for venues for their roving dance party.

The other pair are Kiwis motorcycling their way from Alaska to Argentina.

James was sure that if he accepted the Kiwis’ invitation to sit on the bike, he would be accepting an unspoken invitation to be adopted by relative strangers and packed down to South America. Until Jasper hopped up. Then it was no fair. IF JASPER GETS TO BE ADOPTED THEN SO DO I.

Adoption papers are signed.

MY CURRENT STAGE OF COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT DISABLES ME FROM UNDERSTANDING THAT I CAN’T DRIVE IN YOUR LANE, JERK!

J.D. is building a shed so our couch surfers don’t have to share the Nighthawk with our weed whacker.

This one’s for the WCB.

Storage shed?? … seems like a few extra bedrooms, say the width of your house, would nicely accommodate your plentiful couch surfing guests! Nice project though, JD!

The passport mug shot of James is priceless … so very funny !!!

Jasper’s independence is ‘fiercely’ evident in some of the photos … can only imagine how he commands/demands your attention !

We can’t wait to see the boys ‘in action’ this summer. Hugs, GG & GG

Thanks @Elizabeth! Good to hear that on a day of not-so-amazingly-beautiful weather:)
