Jungle Jim

October 10, 2012

Over the past few weeks we have had a couple of house guests. Jasper, we have discovered, has the gift of hospitality.

Jim, our good friend from Victoria, moved to Whitehorse and stayed with us for a couple of weeks. The day of his arrival, Jasper peed on the floor and used Jim’s sweater to wipe it up. Jim felt like part of the family while he was here.

Annette, our flight nurse friend, was also here for a few days. She had just worked 15 hours and was downstairs in bed when Jasper took his wooden mallet and began hammering the floor directly above where she was sleeping.

We’re thinking of starting a B&B.

Jim stopped by this evening to play jungle Jim. It’s how he likes to unwind after a long day of construction work.

But the real reason the bloggy silence has ended is because our new lens arrived and all of a sudden the prospect of blogging seems fun again and not soul sucking.  I also have a belated Thanksgiving video which I will post tomorrow.

It’s the Nikon 35mm f/1.8G. When I saw your pictures and realized we had something similar in the mail I was a little bit pumped. You’re an amazing photographer by the way!
